Professional maritime training

Bridging the gap between the syllabus and the ship.

Value-added, practical and industry-oriented training for deck officers, engineers, ratings and anyone working towards a career at sea.

The academy

What we teach, and why.

The Captain’s Academy is a professional maritime training initiative focused on value-added, practical and industry-oriented courses for deck officers, engineers, ratings and aspiring maritime professionals.

Our objective is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge, examination requirements and practical shipboard experience — through training delivered by experienced masters, chief engineers and maritime professionals.

  • Taught by experienced masters, chief engineers and maritime professionals
  • Built for examinations, for the ship, and for the rank after this one
  • Open to individuals, and to companies training their own people

Our approach

Learn from experience. Apply in practice. Grow as a professional.

Training is built around practical examples, shipboard experience, case studies, interactive sessions and guidance from experienced maritime professionals.
